The Right Track

I’ve seen many bloggers who give up or seriously slow down their activity because they feel like they are not getting anywhere, when in my opinion they are on the right track. Hopefully, if you are doing the right things and making progress, you will recognize your growth and accomplishments, but not all do. Here are seven signs that your blog is on the right track.
Growing Subscriber Count
If your blog’s subscriber base is growing, even slowly, you are making some progress. Gaining trust and subscribers is not easy, so try not to let your expectations get unrealistically high. If you have realistic goals for subscriber growth, you will more likely be able to feel good about your progress and stay consistent with your blogging.
Increasing Numbers Of Inbound Links
Links are important for search engine optimization (SEO). It makes it easy for people to find your site through the search engines. There are a couple of ways you can increase your inbound links. Writing useful articles and doing a lot of guest blogging are the best. Just make sure you guest blog at sites that are related to your niche, for the best benefit.
Increasing Numbers Of Valuable Comments
The more comments you have, the better. If you are seeing an increase in the number of comments in your blog, make sure to participate in the discussion as well. If you have few or no comments, try commenting on other blogs for starters. That way, other bloggers will be aware of your blog. If they find it interesting, they will usually leave a comment.
Increasing Visitors And Page Views
There are a couple of ways to increase your blog’s visitors and page views. If you do it right you can get a few thousand visitors a month. If you don’t however, you need to start market your blog to the people. Visitors won’t often find you; it’s you who must find them. At least, in the beginning, that is usually the case.
Consistent Posting
Consistent posting is perhaps one of the most important elements to blogging success. For new bloggers, in order for your visitors to pay attention to your blog, it’s vital for you to provide new articles on a regular basis for them to read. If your blog looks dead, the chances are they won’t subscribe. If you are posting consistently, you’re already one step ahead of the vast majority of bloggers.
Improving Quality Of Articles
Though this may be a subjective issue, I think most bloggers can make good comparisons through going through their older posts. If the quality of your articles improves overtime, which it should, you’re on the right track.
An Increasing Network Of Bloggers
Blogging, at the end of the day, is all about making friends with other bloggers and supporting each other. This is why networking is probably one of the most crucial aspects in blogging success. If you are continually meeting new bloggers and strengthening the relationships you have made, you will be in a drastically better position for the future.
